The Active Network Announces Major Art Competition for San Diego Elementary School Students
Prizes Include Classroom Funds, Bicycle and Big Reveal on New Active.com Site
SAN DIEGO, CA - February 1, 2007 - The Active Network, Inc. (Active), a leading provider of application services technology and marketing solutions for community service and participatory sports organizations, today announced the kickoff of its Active Art competition. In conjunction with the re-launch of its popular online community www.Active.com, the company is challenging San Diego County elementary school students to illustrate, through personal drawings, what the term "Active" means to them.
The competition is open to all San Diego County elementary school students in kindergarten through fifth grade. The winning entry of the Active Art competition will be featured on the launch day of the new Active.com web site this spring, which is viewed by more than 4.5 million unique visitors each month. In addition, the winner will receive a new bicycle from B&L Bike and Sports and $1,000 in school supplies for their classroom.
