The Active Network Announces Winners of Student Art Competition

Winners and Finalists Showcased at Ray at Night Gallery Walk on May 12

SAN DIEGO, CAMay 9, 2007 – The Active Network, Inc. (Active), a leading provider of application services technology and marketing solutions for community service and participatory sports organizations, today announced the winners of its Active Art competition. In order to kick-off the re-launch of the company’s popular online community, Active.com, San Diego County elementary school students in kindergarten through fifth grade were asked to illustrate, through personal drawings, what the word “Active” means to them.

Students were judged on artistic merit, creativity and supporting statement. Chris Smith, who drew the winning entry, will receive a new bicycle from B&L Bike and Sports (www.blbikes.com) and $1,000 in school supplies for his classroom. Additionally, his drawing will be featured on the launch day of the new Active.com web site which goes live in the upcoming weeks. All winners and finalists will also have their drawings showcased at the San Diego Art Department (www.sandiegoartdepartment.com) on May 12 during Ray at Night, North Park’s monthly Ray Street gallery walk. Artwork will continue be on display at the San Diego Art Department through the end of May.
