IPICO is a global provider of race timing technology, and its dual frequency timing system is well known for its industry-leading accuracy and is used by some of the world’s largest and most iconic events, including the Virgin Money London Marathon and the Tokyo Marathon.

We are expanding our offerings to give you access to technology and data throughout your event lifecycle. The integration of IPICO will expand on ACTIVE's real-time, on-site capabilities and provide you with a comprehensive solution that includes registration, marketing, timing, data, analytics, and insights to help you make business decisions, increase participation, and drive growth of your events.

In utilizing recent developments in ‘wearable technology,’ ACTIVE also plans to expand the uses of the chip beyond timing, to eventually include cashless payment, access control, and spectator engagement. ACTIVE Works On-Site 2.0 for iOS has been released and is available for FREE in the App Store. On-Site allows you and your volunteers to check-in, register, and take payment from participants on race day much faster and more efficiently, all from the palm of the hand.

The new release features dramatic improvements to functionality like:

  • Real-time Event Details: Beautiful iOS 8 style layout with real-time event details displayed graphically.
  • QR Code Check-in: Check-in registrants two times faster than before using a QR code from their confirmation email.
  • Manual Search Option: Improved manual search that is faster and more accurate.
  • Dynamic Merchandise Check: At-a-glance access to t-shirt sizes and purchased merchandise help you work fast and keep lines short.
  • Fast & Secure Payments: Quickly enter credit card details for registrant payment using the camera on-device—no extra hardware required. It’s encrypted to provide data and payment security.
