New App Called ‘Track Meet Mobile’ Puts Meet Schedules, Heat Sheets and Results Quickly and Conveniently Into the Hands of Participants and Spectators around the World
Dallas – June 11, 2015 ACTIVE Network®, the global leader in cloud-based Activity and Participant Management™ and data solutions, today launched its new ACTIVE Network Hy-Tek Sports Software® Track Meet Mobile App for Track and Field. Track Meet Mobile is an extension of ACTIVE Hy-Tek Track and Field Meet Manager 5.0, and delivers official track and field meet results to athletes, coaches, meet hosts and fans – allowing them to access critical event-related information from nearly anywhere, at any time. The Track Meet Mobile app is available immediately and can be downloaded from the Google Play and iTunes App Store.
Track Meet Mobile ensures results and standings are quickly available to participants and spectators once the meet host has published heat and flight results from ACTIVE Hy-Tek Track and Field Meet Manager 5.0, improving the experience of the event and the host’s ability to facilitate competition. Athletes and coaches will now have easy access to their schedules, be able to follow the action in real-time and see their standings as the meet happens. Spectators can now easily view the meet schedule and follow a favorite athlete or team. This is especially helpful since many events occur simultaneously with track and field meets, and since often times, some events occur outside of the stadium.
“Track Meet Mobile is an innovative product for meet hosts, athletes, coaches and spectators – even fans not physically present at the event,” said Sam Renouf, General Manager of Sports at ACTIVE Network. “We understand the level of competition that exists at track and field meets for both athletes and coaches. Knowing where to be and when, what heat you are in, your specific results compared to other athletes, and how you or your team stands overall is crucial information. With Track Meet Mobile, all of this information is readily available on your mobile device – and results are available immediately as meet organizers publish them in Track and Field Meet Manager 5.0. For fans, this app gives them the ability to follow their favorite athlete throughout the event – from nearly anywhere. We believe it will radically transform how participants and spectators engage in track and field meets.”
Following ACTIVE Network’s acquisition of race timing systems provider, IPICO Sports, earlier this year, the launch of Track Meet Mobile represents the next stage in ACTIVE’s commitment to supporting organizers and participants on-site at events, and throughout the entire event lifecycle.
Thousands of Track and Field organizations have been using ACTIVE Network Hy-Tek Sports Software branded products since 1993. Track and Field Meet Manager 5.0 enables meet organizers to electronically exchange entries and results between meets and teams, with no data re-entry, and built with scalability and flexibility in mind to support results from thousands of meets and a wide range of supporting data formats.
