In just its second year on the PROMO 100 list, growth and solid campaigns moved Active Marketing Group from 48 in the 2003 rankings into the top 25 list for 2004. Active Marketing Group also ranked second overall in the list's growth rankings.

Active Marketing Group's campaigns for Unilever Corporation's Degree brand and the U.S. Army's recruitment programs were also evaluated for the ranking. Highlights of these campaigns include:
- Executing a four-year sponsorship and licensing deal to align Unilever's Degree antiperspirant with the Ironman trademark and the sport of triathlon. Working with a multi-agency team, Active Marketing Group's tactics include recruitment and management of a 140-member triathlete team, design and maintenance of a Degree Ironman Web site, onsite sampling at more than 150 endurance and Ironman triathlon events, and management of all field marketing and online advertising strategies.
- Using soccer as a platform to expand the U.S. Army's recruiting programs targeting 16-24 year olds, Active Marketing Group created and hosted a series of soccer challenge events in five states. Tactics included a mobile tour and event production, professional athlete appearances, a public relations campaign generating local press in each city, and a Web presence.
