The National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) is the leading not-for-profit organization dedicated to building strong, vibrant, and resilient communities through the power of parks and recreation. NRPA advances this vision by investing in and championing the work of park and recreation professionals as a catalyst for positive change in service of equityclimate-readiness, and overall health and well-being.

NRPA’s network of more than 60,000 park and recreation professionals and advocates represents public spaces in urban communities, rural settings, and everything in between. NRPA champions and supports the field of parks and recreation through professional development, advocacy, grants and programs, research, publications and more.

Proclaiming July as Park and Recreation Month is an opportunity for communities and local leadership to officially acknowledge the importance of parks and recreation and the benefits it provides to the people you serve. This year’s theme is “We Rise Up for Parks and Recreation” to bring attention to how important it is to rise up and support our fields, because every day, park and recreation professionals rise up for their communities in service of equity, climate-readiness, and overall health and well-being. ACTIVENet is the proud software sponsor of National Park and Recreation Month.

At ACTIVE Network, we see on a daily basis how important parks are and the dedication and passion each one of you invest in taking care of your communities. As we honor National Park and Recreation Month, we wanted to share how some of our customers celebrate with fun ways they get the word out in their community!
